Described as "an award-winning waterproof, multitasking, and buildable matte pomade that stays put," this product has garnered the interest of many. Apparently, Anastasia Beverly Hills has yet to hit the shelves of department stores in the Philippines.

After months of stagnation, I finally chanced upon the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade at a makeup store in Tiendesitas. Truly an attestation to a quote made famous by Andy Warhol: "As soon as you stop wanting something, you get it." K, anyway!

The product is packaged in a small pot with a black screw lid. The actual product occupies only about 1/3 of the pot. Considering the small amount of pomade you get, is it worth it? (Clue: Y-E-S!)

I started using the Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade 2 months ago, and there are still a lot left in the pot (see photo below). I think it's gonna last me a year or more.

My first impression was that the product looked really waxy, and that the color payoff might not be as good as what other reviewers claim it to be. But boyyy was I wrong. Check out the color swatch below:



This product definitely lives up to the hype. Initially, one would think that this product's simply too expensive. However, considering the quality and amount of product you're going to get, I absolutely think it's worth every cent.

Heyyy! It's been a long time since I posted something here on my blog. For purposes of transparency (lol), I got extremely busy with law school. If you're curious about my experience as a first year law student, feel free to e-mail me your questions and I'll do my best to respond. :p

I'm currently on my break so buckle up your seat belts because I'm back and more madaldal than ever! OK LOL. I am so excited to share with you guys my current purchases from MAC.

I have been looking for a wearable brown shade ala Kylie Jenner for quite a while now. Luckily, the sales associate at the MAC counter in SM Megamall was really helpful and recommended the shade "Whirl" to me. Fell inlove when I tried it on!

Whirl is basically a dirty rose [brown with pink undertone] shade that could be worn day or night. I think this shade is flattering on any skin tone.

I got both the lipstick and the lipliner. Both are really pigmented, so you can definitely wear them on their own!


But if you want the color to really pop and last all day long, then get both.

It has a matte formula, but it's not as drying as compared to other matte lip products. Love love! Together, the lipstick and the lipliner has an amazing staying power. It lasted about 6-7 hours on me. I didn't have to reapply even after eating/drinking/whatever.

I follow a lot of makeup artists, bloggers, celebrities, and random beauty accounts on Instagram, and I noticed how most of them go overboard when it comes contouring. Originally intended for on-stage performances, I can say intense contouring has definitely gone mainstream.

To be honest, I don't think the intense contouring trend will ever be for me. For one, my skin tends to flake when rubbed immensely. Plus, I live in a tropical country. So just imagine how heavy and uncomfortable it would feel if I hit the streets wearing Kim Kardashian's face.

On the other hand, I plead guilty to being a big fan of subtle contouring. I have a round/ovalish face. So yeah, a little contouring here and there definitely adds dimension to my face.

I have been using Guerlain Terracotta as my bronzer since 2014, and it works magic for me. Earlier this month, I tried looking for a more affordable bronzer to try. And luckily, while browsing for products at SM Department store, I checked the aisle of E.L.F. cosmetics and found a blush and bronzer powder duo priced at Php 249.75! It's available in 3 shades (see below). I ended up getting St. Lucia.
For the packaging, I can't help but compare it to NARS. It features a big mirror, which I find particularly handy. The only difference I noticed is that the NARS packaging comes in a velvety matte finish.


For the product itself, I find the quality to be annoyingly chalky. I also observed that it crumbles easily. But for what it's worth, I'm willing to overlook these observations.

For the color pay off, both the blusher and the bronzer are impressive. The colors are really pigmented, which means a little goes an incredibly long way.

I wish an #IWokeUpLikeThis hashtag would be appropriate whenever I post a selfie. Imagine how much time I could save if only I didn't have to exert extra effort to look polished. #lol

If there's one thing I consider most time-consuming, it's filling in my brows. I consider it a solemn moment as it has the power to make or break my entire look. In this post, I'll be sharing to you guys how I currently do it. Enjoy!




1. Using the pen tip, I start by outlining the bottom and top part of my brows to serve as a guideline for the rest of the succeeding steps.


2. Using the same pen tip, I fill in the sparse areas using delicate strokes following the direction of my hair.


4. I run a spoolie gently through my brows. Upward strokes at the inner part, gradually becoming outward strokes while working my way through the middle part, then completely outward strokes at the outer part.
